This small village is located just next to Mae Khong river. While it is full of botanical resources and local know-how, the locals still enjoy a simple life by the water. Despite its location in northern Thailand, the culture in Ban Ta Kan Tong is influenced by the Isaan (Northeastern Thai) culture since their ancestors from the northeast region settled down here over 50 years ago.
